Lady Love Bug
This is an original pattern developed from a photo I snapped of a Black VW Bug; a car inspired by the lady who drove it, who is my friend and quit shop owner. She encouraged me to take the idea and create a collage pattern from the image.
This kind of collage is a playful technique of arranging flowers to create a floral collage, where one uses many small pieces of fabric to create a bouquet within the subject matter of a cute Love Bug car! I’ve included lots of tips in my pattern explaining in detail this process of raw-edge, fusible applique. BONUS: I’ve included suggested fabrics, including names and makers of the fabrics that I used to create this pattern.
This pattern’s skill level is easy ~ great for all levels of sewers and quilters.
This PAPER PATTERN includes: beautiful, clear cover photo, a detailed supply list with yardage and tips for selecting fabrics; step by step instructions with included tips and hints, and a FULL SIZE PAPER line drawing of the Love Bug Car as the photo depicts.
The pattern finishes to about 26″ x 38″ in a landscape type format.
